Wovenpaint is an arts studio that focuses on creativity education, using the familiar techniques of (but not limited to) textile and fiber art.
Clients include art and fiber enthusiasts, libraries, schools, church groups, civic groups, members of the home school community, textile organizations -people like you.

Owner Gwyn Marathas, is a professional textile designer and lifelong artist.  She holds a BFA in Textiles from UMass Dartmouth and has experience teaching through the college level.

Lessons, workshops and presentations are designed to provide you with a way to connect with your creative self-all the while learning something new.  Basic materials are always included so you don't need to go searching for supplies.  Creating is an expression of joy-giving you a chance to expand your imagination and mind.  All ages and abilities are welcome.

One of the many benefits of thinking creatively is that this process, once connected to, begins to be used in "everyday" life as well.

            "I have a passion for textiles and fiber art because the techniques reach so far back in time-yet can be very contemporary.  My spirit can resonate with the echoes, as I add my voice in present time.  Think of it, textiles accompany us all the way on our life journey, continually providing comfort as they literally surround us from birth to death.  Working with these fibers, yarns and fabrics provide me with a sense of peace-and place.It's wonderful to feel the satisfaction of creating something that is beautiful- and is uniquely yours.
